1. White Noise Festival, B’ham

We arrived at The Rainbow late on Friday afternoon. We left the following morning with an Asbo Kid T-Shirt, a bucketful of new friends and a sincere prayer that Saturday would be a bit busier for Marc, Ann and the continued list of global electronic music lovers and artists.

I’d like to have been there on Saturday. I was in Brighton by the time Dave Ball, HK119, Alphadrive, Murder One, Jash (aka DJ Whitenoise), Glatze, Beat Frequency, VOL*, Louis and Toffee Matt** Lung Rotter 7, Pygmy Globetrotters and Barry 7 were due to perform.

    And Hiem…. ahem.

Jonny Glue, Playground Mafia, Ann, Beat Bigot, Dub Chieftan, PWEI***, The Asbo Kid, Contra Mundum and ourselves (ribside) did a good job on Friday…. but jeez…. no crowd.

Tongue and Groove took gold for most captive audience in the boozer with punters dancing delightedly from 1am-4am, ranging from sensitive, bespectacled geeks to the extreme and entertaining zulu warrior (Birmingham City FC firm) I only know as “the poet”. Nice guy.

High point for Ribside = The Asbo Kid. Low point for Ribside = The Attendance.
